Professional fall arrest harness
An absolutely essential part of any professional fall protection kit is a fall arrest harness.
At Mul10 ProSafe, we offer fall protection harnesses designed for every roofing need. Fall protection is only for short-term work (max 4 man-hours), which is partly due to the load from the harness and pull from the line. It is therefore important to choose a harness that fits the scope of the work to be performed.
What types of fall arrest harnesses does Mul10 ProSafe offer?
We offer three different halyards in several different sizes. Our selection covers:
- Comfort harness - sizes: S, M-XL and 2XL
- Harness vest - sizes: M-XL, 2XL and 3XL
- Basic H-harness - sizes: M-XL, 2XL and 3XL
All harnesses need to be adjusted to fit properly and are recommended in the sizes you would normally wear.
Our harnesses for fall protection are designed according to all applicable regulations and requirements for personal fall protection. All of our fall arrest harnesses are made of polyamide webbing, which ensures the best safety during the work you will be doing. The difference between the basic H-harness and the comfort harness is, as the name suggests, comfort and practicality.
Our basic H-harnesses are adjusted with metal buckles on the thighs, shoulders and chest, to which lines can be attached to the front and back in chest locks and D-rings with carabiners.
What sets the Comfort harness apart is the extra emphasis on comfort and the elements that support the practical side of work. The Comfort harness is equipped with padding at the thigh, shoulder and waist and extra support in the back. The harness's Quick Lock system also makes it quick to put on and take off the harness. The harness is also equipped with strong metal buckles between all parts of the harness for easy adjustment. You attach the lanyard with a carabiner at the back in the D-ring. For added safety, it is finished in bright orange so you can be clearly seen while working.
Our harness vest is quick and easy to put on and take off. The harness vest is not padded but provides support at the shoulder and waist. It also has 2 front pockets. It closes with a zipper and is adjusted with buckles on the thigh and chest. The leash is connected to the front chest loops or the cross element + D-ring at the back.
Which harness should you choose?
The time spent working with a harness on is the primary factor in deciding which harness to choose. If you often do roofing work for longer periods of time (2-4 hours) and the work requires fall protection, we recommend choosing a harness that is comfortable to wear. A harness can put strain on the shoulders and thighs during prolonged work and this will be minimized with padding and/or support in these areas with the comfort harness or harness vest.
If you only rarely perform work that requires fall protection, you can make do with our basic H-harness. Especially if you only work for short periods of time (less than 2 hours).
The harnesses offer the same fall protection. You can therefore safely perform your work regardless of which harness you choose.
